My passion for makeup comes from my love of art, fashion and beauty. Throughout my education I took art as a subject and found joy in painting and drawing. After school I studied Graphic Design which greatly influenced my makeup artistry today. I consider myself as a versatile artist, I’m always seeking to learn more to better myself and my craft. I also love teaching others. My mission is to inspire and to be inspired!

A bit about my career and experience so far:

I’ve been in the industry for 8 years. My makeup career began in 2012 when I completed a professional Makeup Course in Johannesburg. I joined MAC Cosmetics, where I worked full time for four years. During this time I gained invaluable experience working at a variety of events and fashions shows throughout the country as part of MAC’s Events team. I had the opportunity to collaborate with renowned South African designers (David Tlale, Marianne Fassler and Rich Mnisi). My experience went beyond fashion, as I also facilitated makeup classes for MAC. Over the last three years I’ve continued working backstage at AFI and SA Fashion weeks and facilitated makeup classes and workshops across Gauteng. I’ve also worked on exciting projects with amazing creatives and companies. Some highlights include bodypainting for Lush Cosmetics, and editorial work with designer Thebe Magugu (featured in Vogue Italia) and full body paint for musician Matthew Mole’s music video ‘At the Corner’. In the last year I won an international makeup challenge competition set by New York Makeup artist and photographer Van Khai Truong.

The services I offer as a MUA:

As a makeup artist, I work across multiple genres; Bridal, Editorial and fashion, theatrical and body paint. I also offer makeup classes and lessons for private and corporate clients. I am passionate about people and sharing experiences. It’s important to me to make someone feel beautiful, unique or special for any occasion!
